Following a successful delivery of a mediation pilot across DWP in 2008/09, TCM is delighted to announce the extension of the contract to be rolled out across the whole of the Department. The DWP recognise that mediation offers a highly effective remedy to workplace disputes and to date, over 90% of cases referred for mediation within the DWP have resulted in a positive resolution for all parties
The partnership between TCM and DWP centres around the delivery of OCN accredited mediator for a further 20 internal mediators within DWP. These mediator will join forces with the existing 24 accredited mediators trained by TCM during the pilot period.
The training is being run through the UK Mediation Academy with a number of DWP mediators now completing their training

Feedback from mediators trained so far:
| "After 20 years of attending training courses, this is the most professional, focused, interesting and challenging course I have attended. Although daunted, I feel as prepared as possible to put into practice what I have been taught. Trainers were exceptionally well prepared, informed and supportive. Thank you" | Sue Ticehurst, DWP internal mediator |
| As an experienced investigator, I came to the event somewhat sceptical. However, I left as a convert and am convinced that mediation offers the best form of conflict resolution”. | Dave Offer, DWP internal mediator |
| “An enjoyable and illuminating experience.” | Gil Harvey, DWP internal mediator |
| "This was a very challenging, thought provoking, yet extremely rewarding & beneficial event. The trainers were very in-touch & were experts in their field. A very professionally delivered event!" | Lee Middleton DWP internal mediator |
