Disengagement at work...

Educated men between the ages of 30 and 64 are the most disenganged
by Panos Papakostis | 15th Nov 2011

If these kinds of comments sound familiar, then you probably have disengaged employees in your organization too. Everyone is familiar with the concept that engaged employees are "better" employees, in terms of productivity, customer satisfaction, and the company's bottom line. The most alarming fact is that more than 70% of American workers share these attitudes.
According to the Gallup Index Survey, educated men between the ages of 30 and 64 are the most disengaged workforce in the market place and organisations should focus their efforts on them.

David Liddle, TCM’s Founder & Managing Director commented:

“Disengagement in the workplace is a big issue for any organisation out there. Imagine one of your best sales executives or even a manager feeling cut off from the rest of the group, loosing motivation or start sharing different goals or vision. It is the managers’ and the director’s responsibility to keep the staff focused and motivated by creating an engaging and dynamic environment “

Engaging with your staff and being honest about their performance or lack of motivation is not always easy.

Difficult conversations like these are often being neglected because they can be stressful but it is an inevitable part of effective management. In fact, recent research suggests that managers spend as much as a third of their time having difficult conversations at work.

For all the above reasons, The TCM Group has developed the ‘Managing Difficult Conversations’ course. This course focuses on providing the skills you need to get positive results out of difficult conversations and to turn difficult conversations into constructive dialogs. The course is usually delivered in our premises in the heart of London but we also deliver in-house sessions.

For an in-house quote or any other question please do not hesitate to call Michelle Gregory at 020 7092 3184.

Our next ‘Managing Difficult Conversations’ course is on the 12th of March 2012.

Make a booking on our website or give us a call at 0800 294 97 87.
