Meet our Internal Mediation Scheme Coordinator

Meghan works with internal mediation scheme co-ordinators to develop and strengthen their schemes.
by Panos Papakostis | 23rd Apr 2012
We are very proud to be the only mediation services and training provider in the UK with a dedicated internal mediation scheme coordinator. Meghan manages TCM’s innovate online case management system, Apaxio, and works with internal mediation scheme co-ordinators to develop and strengthen their mediation schemes. We sat down with Meghan to find out more about her role and Apaxio. As always Meghan was more than willing to answer all our questions.

  • Why did you want to work for The TCM Group?
Well my degree was actually in dispute and conflict resolution. During this degree I studied dispute resolution and specifically mediation so of course with TCM it was a perfect match.
  • As an Internal Mediation Scheme Coordinator, could you please talk to us about your role, your goals and what are your main responsibilities?
My main role is to act as sort of a `go-to` person for all mediation scheme co-ordinators. What that means that the people who run an organisation’s internal mediation scheme have one person, myself, to come to for advice, assistance and guidance with running their internal mediation scheme.
  • What do you like most about your role and working at The TCM Group?
What I like most is being able to help companies bring mediation to their employees. It’s a great service that they provide and I can help them to become more efficient and effective.
  • Can you tell us about Apaxio?
Apaxio is our new online dispute resolution system.  There are two important aspects, one is the mediation documents library where the co-ordinators have access to all of the mediation documents they need to set up, follow up and run all their mediations. The other key aspect is a mediation case management system, which helps them to organise and track the cases themselves. The follow-ups are according to TCM’s FAIR mediation model, which means that we do follow-ups every – one, three, six and twelve months after the mediation.
  • What is the value that Apaxio can bring to an organisation?
Well another important feature of Apaxio is its reporting function, so the real value comes in when co-ordinators are able to create reports on the functioning of their scheme and therefore on the return on investment. It can measure everything from success rates to type of disputes.Compares mediation to grievances and even shows your price of your scheme per head and how that price drops as the scheme develops overtime.
  • What feedback have you been receiving for Apaxio?
Everyone has been really excited about it. Co-ordinators love the idea of a system that can help them co-ordinate their scheme as it can be a very stressful and time consuming job. The whole point of the system is to make their job easier and more efficient.
  • What should companies do, if they are interested in Apaxio?
They can simply drop me an e-mail at apaxio@thetcmgroup.com  or give me a call on 020-7092-3182 and I can speak with them about the system and I can set them up right away.
