Ministry of Justice Latest Announcement puts Mediation at the Forefront of Dispute Resolution
On Monday, The Ministry of Justice announced that from summer 2013 there will be a fee for employees seeking a tribunal. The fees have been introduced as part of a larger initiative by the Coalition Government to promote mediation as a quicker, cheaper and healthier way of resolving workplace disputes.
As one of the leading UK providers of workplace mediation, The TCM Group welcomes the government’s support of mediation. TCM’s CEO David Liddle commented, ‘This is a breakthrough announcement from the Ministry of Justice. It opens the way for employees and employers to settle their disputes using less adversarial and more constructive means. For many years TCM have been promoting mediation and we are delighted that it is now at the forefront of government thinking.’
