The Essentials of Workplace Mediation (3 days)
Introduction
This course, which comprises Unit 1 of the National Certificate in Workplace Mediation, is suitable for anyone who wishes to gain a recognised certification in workplace mediation.
Upon completion of the course, delegates are qualified to join The Professional Mediators’ Association (The PMA). More information about The PMA can be found at www.professionalmediator.org .
This course, offers participants a highly effective framework for resolving workplace conflict using a positive, constructive and empowering approach. Participants gain a grounding in core mediation, negotiation, problem-solving and facilitation skills whilst developing strategies and competencies necessary to begin to work as mediators within their own organisations (or as external mediation consultants).
Upon completion of this course, plus a completed workbook, participants possess a solid grounding in workplace mediation. They are able to mediate in a variety of low-level workplace conflicts.
Participants who go on to complete Unit 2 - "Applied Workplace Mediation Skills" receive the full National Certificate in Workplace Mediation and are able to mediate in complex disputes including allegations of bullying, harassment and discrimination plus workplace grievances and complaints.
This modular approach provides a good level of flexibility for our customers.
